KAMC in Makkah performs 6th artificial heart transplant surgery

MAKKAH — The Cardiac Center of King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah has performed successfully the sixth artificial heart transplant surgery for a patient, in his fifties, who was suffering from weakness on the left side of the cardiac muscle.

The surgery was performed by an integrated cardiac surgery team under the supervision of a medical team that includes a group of cardiac consultants from various specialties and a specialized team of anesthesiologists and nurses.

After the surgery, the patient left the Cardiac Center without any complications. — SPA
