JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia-led Arab Coalition forces on Saturday intercepted and destroyed three explosive-laden drones and a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia targeting the Kingdom.

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said that the Iran-backed militia fired a ballistic missile late Saturday toward Jazan, which was successfully intercepted and destroyed.

The missile attack comes just hours after the coalition forces destroyed three armed drones fired by the Iranian-backed militia, targeting the southern region of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement on Saturday, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said that the Iran-backed militia is continuing to target civilians and civilian objects, adding that its forces are taking operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile acts.
