MAKKAH — Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, who is also the chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, has sent cables of congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on the successful organization of this year’s Hajj.

In his cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Abdulaziz said: "I have the honor to extend, on my behalf as well as all those who participated in the organization of the Hajj season, congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, praying to Allah Almighty to shower His blessings upon you.”

"I also have the honor to extend our sincere gratitude for the generous care and wise directives provided to all sectors involved in the service of pilgrims, putting the safety and security of pilgrims first, which resulted in the resounding success of this year's Hajj season despite exceptional circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic and its mutations worldwide,'' he added.

He also said that all security, health, preventive, organizational, and service plans were drawn up quite early, taking into consideration the lessons learned from the last year’s exceptional Hajj.

The interior minister lauded the use of advanced technologies in the application of all preventive and precautionary measures to confront the pandemic as a result of which the Hajj season this year did not witness any coronavirus or epidemic cases.

“I pray to Allah Almighty to grant you best rewards for the generous care and attention being paid to the Two Holy Mosques, their visitors, and your wise policy that puts human health and safety first so that Muslims can enjoy performing their rituals in a safe and healthy atmosphere,” Prince Abdulaziz said in his cable to King Salman.

The interior minister sent a similar cable of congratulations to Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, thanking him for the support provided to all sectors involved in the organization of this year’s Hajj.

"This year's exceptional Hajj season was a model for developing the Hajj journey using modern technologies and advanced methods to move steadily toward achieving the goals of the Kingdom's vision 2030 under your leadership,” Prince Abdulaziz said in his cable to the Crown Prince.

"I pray to Allah Almighty to preserve our homeland and perpetuate security and prosperity for us under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and your Highness,'' he added.
