UAE 'categorically' denies use of spyware to target journalists, individuals

ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates has dismissed allegations that it used spyware to target journalists and individuals.

In a statement carried by the UAE's official news agency, WAM, the country's foreign ministry said: "The allegations made by recent press reports claiming that the UAE is amongst a number of countries accused of alleged surveillance targetting of journalists and individuals have no evidentiary basis and are categorically false.'' —
