Hict opens regional headquarter for ME in Riyadh

July 21, 2021

RIYADH — Hict was among the first international companies to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Ministry of Investment (MISA) in January 2021.

This MoU allowed Hict to open a privately owned regional headquarter for the Middle East in the city of Riyadh, KSA. Months later, Hict officially announces the opening of their Riyadh based office as new regional Headquarter for the Middle East. The office in Riyadh is an excellent staging ground to bring years of experience and commitment to Optimising Healthcare to the Middle East.

Hict has been active in the MENA region for more than twelve years, realizing a multitude of healthcare projects related to strategy and process improvement for healthcare providers, suppliers and public services. Moreover, Hict offers unique and targeted expertise in change management and capacity planning.

In pursuit of bringing the best possible service to the healthcare system in KSA, Hict recruited local talents to spearhead both projects and business development in the region. The local consultants will work closely together with the global team to provide the best of both worlds: a local and flexible approach to projects and business development combined with Hict’s proven healthcare methodologies.

"Hict’s unique value proposition brings the blending of Western-European expertise with local consultants and staff to the Middle Eastern Healthcare Markets. Our goal is to participate in the ambitious healthcare transformation programs expressed in the Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We aim to achieve this using the deep international skills of a ‘boutique healthcare consulting firm' combined with the local translation and implementation by our growing Hict team in Riyadh.” Jan Demey – CEO Hict.

Hict is currently partnering up with major players in the healthcare market in KSA such as Ascend, MIS and Samir group. The ambition is to further improve Hict’s connection with local partners and to further develop these partnerships. This will be facilitated through the regional headquarters in Riyadh, in close collaboration with Hict’s Main headquarters in Belgium (Ghent - Flanders).

“Working at Hict gives me the chance to build bridges between Belgium and Saudi Arabia. Combining strengths and opportunities of both countries, creates new insights and successful collaborations in healthcare.” Wesam AbuDiab – International Business Development Consultant Hict.

Hict collaborated with Ascend Healthcare to support Ministry of Health (MoH) to develop and rollout the Covid 19 vaccination campaign all over the kingdom. During this campaign, Hict and Ascend provided international Subject Matter Experts and project management.

“I experience a great evolution and expansion in the healthcare sector. Working at Hict gives me the opportunity to work closely with decision makers at MoH.” Ahmed Alharbi – Project Manager Hict.

Hict aims to contribute to the strategic transformation of Saudi Vision 2030 of the healthcare system in Saudi Arabia through its expertise-based organization in combination with the local team.

“It's a great experience to work with Hict in Saudi. The government has a well communicated vision towards 2030 and that gives a clear direction to our projects in Saudi healthcare. I experience a huge openness of Saudi healthcare professionals to innovate and improve their healthcare system to be a world class example.” Nathalie Baillieul – Senior consultant Hict.
