Al-Qasabi: We are preparing for future with optimistic outlook, diverse opportunities in all sectors

LONDON — Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preparing for the future with an optimistic outlook and a government that works to create diverse opportunities in all sectors.

This came during his participation in the UK/Saudi Sustainable Investment Forum in London, organized by the Joint Saudi-British Business Council, in the presence of Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan, Saudi Ambassador to the UK.

During his participation in the Forum, the Minister of Commerce pointed out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 opened new horizons for the future and a variety of opportunities in promising sectors, such as technology, energy, tourism, entertainment, mining, logistics, etc.

He also indicated that Saudi Arabia has unique opportunities that cover many vital aspects such as the digital technology sectors and others, looking forward to strengthening and developing cooperation, exchanging experiences, and attracting British investments in light of the great facilities and reforms enjoyed by the business sector and efforts to stimulate the attraction of foreign investment.

For her part, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Dr. Iman Bint Habbas Bin Sultan Al-Mutairi, reviewed the exceptional achievements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 over the past five years, noting that in the context of women's empowerment, new laws have been enacted that encourage women's effective participation in the new economic transformation at all levels.

Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, indicated that fruitful meetings were held on the sidelines of the Forum with the government and private sectors, with the participation of the President of the Financial Market in London, the Lord of the City of London, the Chairmen of the Arab British Chamber and the two Chairmen of the Saudi-British Joint Business Council on both sides, and the President of the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) to discuss opportunities for cooperation in various fields.

He also added that the Saudi-British relations are historical, spanning more than 100 years, and based on mutual trust, adding that what has been reached is an opportunity to enhance communication between the government and private sectors and to discuss priority cooperation opportunities in various fields of sustainable development and translate them into tangible partnerships that meet the aspirations of the people and leadership of the two countries. — SPA
