MoH implements precautionary measures to ensure safety of pilgrims during Hajj season

RIYADH — The Ministry of Health (MoH) has confirmed the continuation of all efforts to ensure the health and safety of pilgrims during the Hajj Season 1442H. The ministry will implement numerous precautionary measures to ensure Hajj is performed in a safe manner in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MoH is keen on implementing the highest safety standards and precautionary measures, reiterating in this regard the importance of maintaining physical distancing and wearing face masks.

The ministry also stressed the importance of receiving the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine to ensure the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The Health Ministry has also prepared about nine health facilities in Holy Sites, Makkah, to provide medical care for pilgrims.

As for heat exhaustion and heat strokes, the ministry is working on a number of measures including installing misting fans to reduce the heat.
