Gen. Al-Ruwaili-led Saudi delegation participates in Dragon Group’s discussions

RIYADH — The Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyad Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to Dragon Group’s annual meeting, held in London, the United Kingdom.

The meeting discussed means of achieving joint military coordination and defense cooperation between the participating countries to tackle different challenges and threats through adapting a common approach, contributing to counter-terrorism, anti-piracy and counter-smuggling operations in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.

Gen. Al-Ruwaili said that such meetings boost joint military action and find the best means to strengthen and increase cooperation and cohesion among participating countries.

The meeting included the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Iraq, Arab Republic of Egypt, State of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, State of Kuwait, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the United Kingdom. — SPA
