Border Guard foils smuggling of over 1m amphetamine tablets, 240 kgs of hashish in Tabuk, Eastern Regions

RIYADH — The official spokesman of the Border Guard Col. Misfir Bin Ghannam Al-Qiraini has stated that proactive security follow-up of criminal activities involving smuggling narcotics into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has resulted in foiling of an attempt to smuggle 495,481 tablets of amphetamine in Ras Tanura, the Eastern Region.

Additionally, the maritime patrol in Al-Khafji sector has foiled an attempt to smuggle 241 kilograms of hashish and 419,000 tablets of amphetamine.

The maritime patrol has also foiled an attempt to smuggle 334,000 tablets of Amphetamine in Tabuk Region.

Col. Al-Qiraini noted that preliminary legal measures have been taken, reiterating that the security forces of the Border Guard will continue to confront all attempts to smuggle narcotics into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. — SPA
