RIYADH — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked second in Balkan Junior Mathematical Olympiad, stunning several advanced countries in the competition such as France, Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia and Indonesia.

In its ninth appearance in the competition in a row, the Saudi Mathematics Team bagged six international awards: three gold, a silver, and two bronze in the contest. Last year the Saudi team secured a gold, four silvers, and a bronze.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s team comprised six students who competed against 134 students representing 22 countries, raising their country's score in the competition to 47 prizes. — SPA
