Prince Faisal meets with Indian, Argentinian counterparts on sidelines of G20 meeting

Indian minister discusses early resumption of flights between two countries

MATERA, Italy — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan met on Tuesday with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the G20 meetings of foreign and development ministers in southern Italian city of Matera.

During the meeting, they discussed Saudi-Indian relations and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve the interests of the two countries.

They also touched on the most prominent G20 issues, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international issues of common interest.

Meanwhile, the Indian foreign minister said on his Twitter handle that he discussed among other things the early resumption of flights between the two countries.

“Cordial meeting with Saudi FM @FaisalbinFarhan. Discussed the Covid situation and urged early flight resumption. Talks also covered our Strategic Partnership and regional situation,” the tweet read.

The Saudi foreign minister also met with Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Religions Felipe Carlos Sola.

During the meeting, they discussed Saudi-Argentine relations and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve the interests of the two countries.
