Interior minister honors citizen who moved burning car parked near building to isolated spot

DAMMAM — Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif honored the citizen Muhammad Al-Alit in appreciation of his daring rescue act after a fire broke out in a car parked in front of a building in Dammam recently.

His courageous act saved the residents of the apartment building in the Al-Nour neighborhood of Dammam from being engulfed in a possible blaze.

Director-General of Civil Defense Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Amr received Alit at his office on Thursday and presented to him the honor from the interior minister for his efforts in saving the building’s occupants from the fire.

When Alit noticed flames of fire and smoke billowing out of a car, he rushed to the spot and quickly pushed the car risking his own safety, to a distant spot from the building minutes before it exploded and was consumed by the flames.
