ADEN — Yemeni Army Spokesman Brig. Gen. Abdo Mijalli announced destroying 75 percent of combat capabilities mobilized by the terrorist Houthi militia at the outskirts of Marib during battles and airstrikes over the past few days.

Brig. Gen. Mijalli in a press briefing on Saturday said that army forces, supported by tribesmen in his country, are achieving control on the ground through liberating important sites, cutting supply routes of the militias, and confronting all infiltrations and hostile attacks on various fronts in Marib and Al-Jouf governorates in the eastern and northern parts of Yemen.

He also stressed that the army has managed to realize progress and gains on the ground in Al-Jouf Governorate, retrieving several sites, cutting supply routes of the terrorist militia, and taking control over sites they were stationed, in addition to inflicting heavy damage to their personnel, estimated at dozens of deaths, and destroying much of their combat equipment. — SPA
