RIYADH —
The Arab Coalition led by the Saudi air defense forces intercepted and destroyed on Thursday an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iran-backed Yemen’s Houthi group targeting Khamis Mushait, according to TV reports.

“We are taking operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile attacks,” the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said in a statement.

Earlier this week, the coalition forces destroyed an armed drone targeting Khamis Mushait.
