RIYADH – The Ministry of Health announced that the National Scientific Committee is studying the expansion of giving vaccines to the age groups 12-18 years.

Addressing the weekly press briefing here on Sunday, Assistant Minister of Health and Spokesman of the Ministry Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali said that the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses reached 15,723,493 doses given in the Kingdom, where nearly 14.5 million people received at least one dose of the vaccine.

He praised the awareness of society and their keenness to take the vaccine and not be drawn into rumors.

He pointed out that postponing the second dose administration to cover a large segment of society with the first dose.

“There is no change in the daily infections curve,” he said.
