Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Al-Othaimeen met here with Afghanistan's Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs Mohammed Qasim Halimi.

During the meeting, they reviewed fields of cooperation between the OIC and Afghanistan, as well as the latest developments in the peace process in Afghanistan.

Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's firm commitment to helping the Afghan people in order to achieve comprehensive reconciliation, lasting peace, stability, and development, recalling the decisions taken during the OIC summit, ministerial meetings, and the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Declaration issued on July 11, 2018.

The Afghan minister lauded the OIC's stances and role in achieving peace, security, stability, and development in Afghanistan.
