US special envoy to visit Saudi Arabia seeking help for Horn of Africa and Nile Dam dispute resolution

JEDDAH — US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman will visit Saudi Arabia during his week-long tour in a bid to bring back stability in the war-torn African region.

According to a press statement from the US Depart of State, the US special envoy will also visit Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kenya from May 31 to June 6.

During his visit, Feltman will meet with senior officials of the four countries to discuss cooperative approaches to supporting a stable and prosperous Horn of Africa, the statement said.

The US special envoy will also make efforts to resolve the dispute over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam that is acceptable to all parties, the statement added.
