Saudi citizen infected with COVID-19 successfully evacuated from Jordan

RIYADH — A Saudi citizen infected with coronavirus has successfully been brought to the Kingdom from Jordan in the implementation of directives of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense.

The airlift of the citizen was done by the air medical evacuation department of the health services at the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with a specialized medical team from the Ministry of Health.

The man, who is suffering from complications caused by the virus, required extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, which is also known as extracorporeal life support, during the airlift

The air medical evacuation planes have so far evacuated more than 75 cases infected with the Coronavirus, without the medical and aircrews being infected with the virus.
