Saudi Libraries Commission launches official Website

RIYADH — The Saudi Libraries Commission on Thursday launched its official website, https://libraries.moc.gov.sa, in Arabic and English, to establish contact with beneficiaries, interested individuals and practitioners in the library sector inside the Kingdom and abroad.

The website offers informative content about the Libraries Commission, along with its vision, mission, and objectives.

It also features a calendar for all the commission’s programs, activities and strategic initiatives.

The Libraries Commission was established as a part of 11 cultural commissions affiliated with the Ministry of Culture.

The commission is responsible for overseeing and promoting the library industry in the Kingdom, according to the new concept of transforming public libraries into comprehensive cultural platforms. — SG
