RIYADH — Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman encourages innovation and the education system in Saudi Arabia seems to be heading in the right direction, thanks to the higher committees, which were formed to develop the capabilities of young men and women, according to the Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman.

Prince Abdulaziz, who is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), made the remarks during his visit to King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in Riyadh on Wednesday to attend a function.

The function included a virtual meeting via video conferencing that brought together the minister with over 70 male and female students, who took part in the field of energy in the REGENERON International Science and Engineering Fair, REGENERON ISEF 2021.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Abdulaziz remarked: "I ask the Saudi young men and women I see today to join the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), which provides a fertile development environment for scientific research concepts in many fields. This will be an enabler for the Saudi young men and women to develop the capabilities that will facilitate them to deal with technology".
