JEDDAH — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to consolidate access to network and wireless communications systems as well as information technology and communications.

This move is based on its dependence on "Digital Technology" and to manage several transactions via an integrated system to provide all services to the consumer, employee and beneficiary, and also in order to realize the objectives of its future bound Vision 2030.

Regions and provinces across the Kingdom have experienced a wide scale spread of services in the domain of communications and information technology, largely due to the support the sector received from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince and the wise government.

This has enabled the Kingdom to rank atop in the regional market of communications and information technology.

The main way to empower the public to access government services, in an effective as well as safe, smooth and integrated way, was through a mechanism of multiple electronic channels.

Thus the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launched E-Government Program, Yesser that is leading the digital shift in the governmental departments, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. — SPA
