With the stage all lit up with colorful laser lights, green flags and Hijazi bands singing and dancing, members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) gathered Monday night at a venue packed with representatives of a large number of consuls general and diplomats of foreign and Arab missions in Jeddah.

JEDDAH —  With the stage all lit up with colorful laser lights, green flags and Hijazi bands singing and dancing, members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) gathered Monday night at a venue packed with representatives of a large number of consuls general and diplomats of foreign and Arab missions in Jeddah.



The occasion was to celebrate the 83rd National Day of Saudi Arabia. Also in attendance were guests from the private sector.



The guests were received by Sheikh Saleh Kamel and Adnan Mandoura, JCCI chairman and general secretary respectively.



Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Kamel said: “Under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Saudi Arabia continues to witness rapid transformation and economic growth.  Today the people of Saudi Arabia are celebrating the achievements of their past while looking forward to their future.”

 

He pointed out that the Saudi National Day is a momentous day on which the Kingdom celebrates its numerous  achievements, thanks to the country's wise leadership.



Sheikh Kamel said the presence of so many distinguished diplomats at the event shows the solid relations Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has with their respective countries.



It also reflects  he said, on the Kingdom’s successful foreign policy.
