RIYADH —
In cooperation with the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), the Ministry of Commerce has made it compulsory for car agents to have a toll-free number to receive clients’ complaints, stressing that the consumer shall not bear any call charges.

This measure has come due to the keenness of the ministry and CITC to provide a just commercial environment and the best services to the consumer, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Friday.

This step comes as the first stage of an initiative by the Ministry of Commerce, in coordination with the CITC, to raise the standard of services being provided to the consumer, especially those related to receiving complaints or after-sale services.

The second stage, which will be announced later, will cover the rest of the commercial activities.
