JEDDAH — Russia has extended its support to Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on his stance on international relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday in a statement carried by the Russian news agency Sputnik.

"We closely followed the interview of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman which he gave on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the launch of the 2030 Vision 2030, a comprehensive program for the modernization of the Kingdom.”

“He drew our attention with his statements about Riyadh’s commitment to the central role of the United Nations in global affairs as well as building international relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, fair consideration of national interests and non-interference in each other's internal affairs,” Peskov was quoted as saying.

"These statements deserve the highest praise, stressing: "We fully support this approach. Russian President Vladimir Putin is supportive and convinced of such a position,” he added.

The spokesman also said that Russia is ready to further strengthen bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia apart from agreements that were signed during Putin's recent visit to Riyadh.
