Saudi students win 4 awards in International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, won 4 awards in the prestigious International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad 2021

Four Mawhiba students who won bronze medals are — Mohammed Al-Hadlaq, Mohammed Al-Hudaithi, Abdulaziz Al-Juaid, and Saeed Baghdadi.

The 55th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad was held virtually, and its results were announced Monday, in Moscow, Russia.

With this achievement, the total awards won by Saudi Arabia in the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad reached 18 awards.

It is worth mentioning that this is the Kingdom's ninth participation in the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, and the number of medals achieved by the Saudi teams has reached 408 in the fields of science in its annual participation in 17 international and regional scientific Olympiads. — SG
