King Fahd expansion prayer areas and roof of Grand Mosque reopens

MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has reopened the first floor of the King Fahd expansion and the roof of the Grand Mosque for male and female worshipers holding prayer electronic permits through the Tawakkalna app.

In a statement, Eng. Osama Al-Hujaili, director of the General Administration for Crowd Control and Grouping, said this step aims to harness all capabilities to facilitate and provide comfort to worshipers and to apply precautionary measures and physical distancing for the safety of the visitors and worshipers.

He added that permit holders can enter the Grand Mosque using Shubaika Escalator through Gate 70, Gate 74, Gate 84, and King Fahd Escalator. — SG
