RIYADH —
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman will lead Saudi Arabia’s delegation to Leaders Summit on Climate being hosted by US President Joe Biden, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Thursday.

The two-day virtual summit will be launched on Thursday and will be attended by world leaders.

The summit is an extension of global efforts to address the challenges of climate change and mitigate its effects.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' participation affirms the Kingdom's pioneering role at the global, regional and local levels in addressing climate change, particularly the Crown Prince's recent announcement of “Green Saudi Arabia” and “Green Middle East” initiatives.
