April 21, 2021

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has won a seat on the United Nations Commission on Drugs and Crime (CND) for the period 2022-2025 and the Commission on Population and Development for the period 2022-2026.

Ambassador Abdullah Al-Muallami, the permanent representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, attributed this to the high status and international confidence that the Kingdom enjoys, and its record of successes at the global and international levels in various fields.

He stressed that Saudi Arabia, with its long experience and achievements in combating drugs and organized crimes, will be an important support for the United Nations and the members of the committee in this field. — SG
