April 10, 2021

RIYADH — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Arabian Anti-Doping Committee, launched Friday a media campaign on doping under the title "Play True”, coinciding with the World Anti-Doping Agency’s day allocated to educate athletes about the danger of doping.

The campaign highlights awareness of the dangers of doping, reviews the principles and history of combating it in sport, and provides a set of tips and directions on the right way to improve performance and provide the body with nutrients and energy.

A number of Saudi athletes including former captain of the Saudi national football team Majid Abdullah, former player in the Saudi national football team Nawaf Al-Temyat, and Olympic champions Hadi Soua'an and Ramzy Al-Duhami, are taking part in the campaign through an awareness video that will be broadcast on social media networks. — SPA
