Sarah Al-Suhaimi named board member of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation

RIYADH — The Council of Ministers has decided to appoint Sarah Bint Jammaz Al-Suhaimi as a member of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation to represent the private sector within the corporation.

On his official Twitter account, Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser said: “I congratulate Sarah Al-Suhaimi on the issuance of the cabinet decision appointing her as a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Airlines General Organization, as the first woman to join the corporation’s Board of Directors, since its establishment 75 years ago. We wish her success and continued progress and prosperity for our corporation.”

Throughout her distinguished career, Sarah Bint Jammaz Al-Suhaimi has held a number of major and important positions in the Kingdom, including that of CEO of Al-Ahly Financial Company and a member of the Board of Directors for seven years.

Sarah Al-Suhaimi is also considered to be the first Saudi woman to be appointed in a senior position in the management of the Saudi Stock Exchange "Tadawul."

Al-Suhaimi also held the position of executive director and head of the investment department in asset management at Jadwa Investment Company. She joined the company in May 2007 as the first manager with investment portfolios, and it was the first time that a Saudi woman assumed such a senior position in the company which was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers in 2007.
