RIYADH — Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), has continued the initiative of localizing jobs in companies operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ports.

On Tuesday, it concluded three localization initiatives with companies operating at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, namely Saudi Global Ports Company, Zamil Offshore Services Company and Saudi Development & Export Services Company (SDES), with the aim of localizing 39 job fields in operational sectors.

This initiative includes the localization of more than 900 jobs, as this number will gradually increase in 2021.

The initiative will contribute to qualifying and training Saudi cadres for key positions of supply chains within the Kingdom's ports to ensure business continuity, in line with MAWANI’s keenness to activate localization programs in the ports sector and the companies operating in it. — SPA
