JEDDAH —
Saudi Arabia’s Gulf allies — the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait — have called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and stop the continued terrorist attacks launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia targeting civilians and vital installations in the Kingdom.

Following Thursday’s drone and missile attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom, the UAE while condemning the attacks urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these recurrent acts, which target critical infrastructure and threaten the security and stability of the Kingdom, as well as global energy supplies.

It also stressed that the continued threat of these attacks in recent days is a grave escalation that represents new evidence of this militia's attempts to undermine security and stability in the region.

In a statement, the UAE’s foreign ministry said that the continuous terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflect its blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms.

Bahrain also called on the international community to stand up in the face of these attacks that contradict the sincere intentions of Saudi Arabia to settle the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive peaceful solution in accordance with its recent initiative, which was widely welcomed internationally.

In a statement, Bahrain’s foreign ministry strongly denounced the continued Houthi attack against Saudi Arabia, calling it a flagrant violation of international norms and laws.

Kuwait also condemned and denounced in the strongest terms, the Houthi militia's continued attacks on civilians and vital areas in Saudi Arabia.

The continuation, and escalation of these terrorist attacks" in spite of a globally-backed initiative launched by Riyadh to end the war in Yemen, "reflects the dangers of the Houthi militia's approach and its rejection of peace," Kuwait’s foreign ministry said in a statement.

Kuwait added that this also illustrates the group's refusal of international humanitarian law and its reluctance to end the war in Yemen. The Houthis continue to endanger Saudi Arabia's security and undermining the stability of the region as a whole threatening global energy supply and the safety of international maritime navigation the statement read.

"This requires prompt and decisive international action to deter and put an end to these actions," the statement added.
