Minister Al-Sheikh permits 10-minute preaching in mosques

RIYADH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh issued directives to allow preaching, with a maximum time limit of 10 minutes, in mosques on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. He also emphasized that holding religious classes and lectures should continue to remain remotely.

The minister’s directive came in a circular issued by him to all branches of the ministry in various regions of the Kingdom.

Al-Sheikh also emphasized that mosque employees should enforce the observance of all precautionary measures approved by the competent authorities to ensure the safety of all the faithful who reach mosques to perform prayers.
