Prince Faisal, IAEA chief discuss non-proliferation issues

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossi discussed the current non-proliferation issues during a phone conversation on Sunday.

Grossi said that he called the Saudi minister and had a positive conversation on key issues related to nuclear non-proliferation, saying that Saudi Arabia is an important partner of IAEA.

Prince Faisal and the IAEA chief reviewed the importance of adhering to the application of international atomic energy standards in order to stimulate growth and progress to achieve global sustainable development.

They also discussed major developments in the regional and international arenas.
