MANAMA — Bahrain's Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman Bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa has affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom in various fields, especially in the financial and economic fields.

Bilateral relations are based on a strategic partnership that has contributed to enhancing promising investment opportunities for the two countries and peoples, Shaikh Salman said as he received Ranil Jayardina, UK Minister of International Trade.

He stressed the continuation of efforts to enhance cooperation and the exchange of expertise on financial, economic and commercial cooperation frameworks to achieve the set goals, strengthen the relations that bind the two countries and open new horizons for their development.

The meeting discussed ways to develop commercial and investment cooperation and reviewed the latest developments in the global economy. — Bahrain News Agency
