SDAIA, STC sign strategic agreement to establish AI infrastructure

RIYADH — The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Saudi Telecom Company (STC).

The accord was signed in the presence of SDAIA Vice President Saleh Bin Mohammed Al-Othaim and STC Group CEO Eng. Nasser AlNasser, and the supervisor of the NCAI at SDAIA, Dr. Majed Al-Tuwaijri.

The agreement aims to provide and develop solutions using artificial intelligence (AI) for health fields, smart cities and infrastructure.

The agreement also aims to study the establishment of AI infrastructure, empower AI experts in the field of business, expand and implement technological solutions, provide joint services with government entities, and discuss the development of investment opportunities that ensure the provision of comprehensive and integrated technological solutions to serve government entities and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The agreement confirms SDAIA's keenness to provide and develop digital solutions using AI and to move forward in realizing the Kingdom's Vision 2030, in cooperation with STC as an enabler of digital transformation in the Kingdom. — SPA
