COVID-19 cases in KSA drop slightly as daily deaths stay in single digit

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Saturday 351 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, 9 less than Friday’s figure of 360.

The ministry announced seven more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 382,059 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,563.

The ministry also reported 239 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 372,456.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 175 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 74 and the Makkah region with 42 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with eight of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 3,040 active cases and 553 of them were in critical condition.
