COVID-19 vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia safe and effective, reiterates health ministry

RIYADH — Coronavirus vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia are safe and effective, reiterated Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali, the spokesman of the Ministry of Health, during a press conference here on Thursday, urging the public to take the vaccine using the Sehhaty app.

He noted that the Kingdom takes utmost care in selecting the safest and most effective vaccines.

The spokesman underlined the importance of complying with the precautionary measures, which will help combat the pandemic more effectively.

Dr. Ali said that the number of those who have received the vaccine has reached 1,706,455 individuals at nearly 500 vaccine centers across the Kingdom, adding that the campaign has expanded and some of the people are being vaccinated at their homes. — SG
