Recoveries surge as Saudi Arabia sees 351 new coronavirus cases, six deaths

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Monday 351 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, marking a slight drop in the number of infections.

The ministry announced six more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of coronavirus infections in the Kingdom to 380,182 and virus-related fatalities to 6,534.

The ministry also reported 418 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 371,032.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 168 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 62 and the Makkah region with 53 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with just seven of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 2,616 active cases and 519 of them were in critical condition.
