Saudi Arabia reports 317 COVID-19 cases, 355 recoveries, 6 deaths

RIYADH — Coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia remained below the 350-mark for the fourth consecutive day, with 317 new infections reported on Monday.

The ministry announced 6 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 377,700 and virus-related fatalities to 6,500.

The ministry also reported 335 recoveries over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people free from the deadly virus reached 368,640.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 142 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 72 and the Makkah region with 45 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with nine of them reporting less than 10 infections.

With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,560 out of which 492 were critical.
