New coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia dip slightly

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Saturday recorded 322 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, marking a slight fall in the number of new infections.

The ministry announced 6 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 377,383 and virus-related fatalities to 6,494.

The ministry also reported 294 recoveries over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people free from the deadly virus reached 368,305.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 167 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 66 and the Makkah region with 37 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with 10 of them reporting less than 10 infections.

With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,584 out of which 481 were critical.
