Active, critical cases continue to drop as new COVID-19 infections stabilize

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Tuesday recorded 335 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 375,668.

The single-day new infections have remained over 300 and below 350 in the Kingdom for 11 days in a row

The ministry announced 4 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,470.

The ministry also reported 323 recoveries over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people free from the deadly virus reached 366,735.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 163 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 63 and the Makkah region with 52 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom with eight of them reporting less than 10 infections.

With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,463 out of which 486 were critical.
