No increase in critical cases as Saudi Arabia sees 334 new COVID-19 infections, 4 deaths

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 334 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, virus-related deaths continued to remain low with just four fatalities reported on Wednesday, according to the ministry's statement.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 373,702 and fatalities to 6,445 respectively.

The ministry also reported 349 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 364,646.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 169 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 62 and the Makkah region with 42 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.

With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,611 out of which 480 were critical.
