King, Crown Prince send condolences to Indian president over loss of lives due to glacier burst

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent cables of condolences to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind for the victims of flood caused by a glacier burst in the northern state of Uttarakhand, which resulted in deaths and destruction.

In their message, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince expressed heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the Indian president, the families of the deceased and the people of India, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and the missing a safe return.

A Himalayan Glacier broke on Sunday, causing sudden, massive flooding in the northern state.

The local authorities have confirmed 32 deaths so far, with dozens missing. — SG
