King Salman, Crown Prince congratulate New Zealand governor-general on National Day

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent cables of congratulations to Governor-General of New Zealand Patsy Reddy on the eve of her country’s New Zealand's National Day.

In their messages, the King and the Crown Prince wished the governor-general good health and happiness and the people of New Zealand steady progress and prosperity.

New Zealand celebrates its National Day, also known as Waitangi Day, on Feb. 6 every year. The day marks the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, the agreement between the British Crown and New Zealand Maori rangatira (chiefs) that led to New Zealand becoming a British colony.
