Saudia signs deal with US-based aviation institute for aircraft maintenance training

JEDDAH — Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI), the maintenance, repair and overhaul division of the Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) based in Jeddah and Prince Sultan Aviation Academy (PSAA), a college for aviation sciences located in Jeddah, have signed a joint cooperation agreement with US Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology for exchanging training experiences, qualifying national cadres and enhancing the quality of training in the field of aircraft maintenance.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Director General of Saudia Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar.

The agreement included providing consultations in the field of aircraft maintenance training for SAEI's employees, and supporting SAEI's technical school with specialized expertise and trainers to enhance the quality of the school's outputs, in addition to workshops and training programs to be held at the headquarters of PSAA.

Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar said that the agreement would contribute to achieving one of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 which is to support local content and localizing the aviation industry.
