MWL congratulates GCC's leaders on Al-Ula Declaration

MAKKAH — The Muslim World League (MWL) has congratulated the leaders and peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s member states for the solidarity agreement witnessed by the "summit of Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah" in AlUla Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On behalf of the scholars of the Islamic world, MWL addressed the congratulations and high appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, and the leaders of the GCC's member states for achieving this historic move.

This came in a statement issued Tuesday by MWL's Secretary General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa.

Arab Parliament Speaker

praises final Communique

In Cairo, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoumi has praised the final communique of the 41st Gulf Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia Tuesday, and “Al-Ula Declaration” that was signed, which strengthens the joint Gulf and Arab action and contributes to the strength and cohesion of the GCC entity.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Al-Asoumi valued the sincere efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in order to provide all the means and requirements for the success of this summit.

He stressed that this exceptional summit in its timing and importance fulfilled the aspirations of the peoples of the GCC states in achieving solidarity, development and prosperity, and, at the same time, reflected the keenness of the leaders of the GCC states and their representatives to preserve the entity of the GCC.

OIC welcomes GCC leaders'

In Jeddah, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the signing of Al-Ula Communique by the leaders of the GCC member states at the 41st session of the GCC's Supreme Council which took place in Al-Ula Governorate.

The OIC's Secretary-General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen praised the efforts of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, may God have mercy on him, and the follow-up of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, Emir of Kuwait, in addition to the efforts made by the United States of America.

He appreciated the efforts of the GCC's leaders to preserve this entity in order to achieve the interests of the peoples of their countries, in addition to preserve the security and stability of the region, and advance it to meet the challenges. — SPA
