Khokar, Bilal Mughal, Shad, Sajjad and Majid shine

Makkah Eagles, Deccan Knights, ARM, ICAD, CSG, Butt Sports, Jed Glad, Aces qualify for Ace Travel Saudi Cup knockout

JEDDAH — Makkah Eagles, Deccan Knights, Butt Sports, Aces from Group A, while ARM United, ICAD, CSG and Jeddah Gladiators from Group B clinched top 4 slots of their respective groups and qualified for the knockout of Ace Travel Saudi Cup; the event is sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association under auspices of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation.

In Week 10 matches Aces beat Asfaan by 7 wickets and Jeddah Gladiators scored a 46 runs win over Pak Zalmi to clinch fourth spot in Group A and B respectively while Deccan Knights beat Kashmir Stags by 53 runs to stand at second position in Group A. The 8 teams who did not qualify for quarters, will battle it out in a separate knock-out for the Plate Trophy.

Skipper Shad Khan scored a brilliant unbeaten 82 to guide his team to 7 wickets win over Asfaan and a place in the knockout. Unbeaten knocks by Bilal Mughal (101) and Sajjad (53) took Deccan Knight to 53-run win over Kashmir Stags and to second position in Group A. Jeddah Gladiators clinched fourth slot in Group B with a 46 runs over Pak Zalmi thanks to Khokar’s solid unbeaten 106 runs.

Aces beat Asfaan by 7 wickets

Asfaan 174 all out Zota 39, Masood 38, Farooq 3 for 21, Zeeshan 2 for 20. Aces 176 for 3 17.1 overs Shad Khan 82NO (45b), Bilal 40, Amir 2 for 21.

Deccan Knights beat Kashmir Stags by 53 runs

Deccan Knights 236 for 4 18 overs Bilal Mughal 101 (45b), Sajjad 53 (31b). Kashmir Stags 183 for 7 18 overs Majid Bhat 53 (29b), Sajid 29, Usman 2 for 25, Haider 2 for 35.

Jeddah Gladiators beat Pak Zalmi by 46 runs

Jeddah Gladiators 216 for 6 20 overs Khokar 106 (69b), Shani 33, Arsalan 2 for 22, Abid 2 for 31. Pak Zalmi 170 for 8 20 overs Saeed 32, Khalid 32, Imran 3 for 38. — SG
