RIO DE JANEIRO — Another stadium has been renamed after Diego Maradona in his native Argentina with the Estadio Unico Ciudad La Plata also honoring the football legend who died last month, DPA reported.

The stadium of Argentinos Juniors, where Maradona began his career, has long been named after him.

Serie A side Napoli, who Maradona led to two Italian titles and the UEFA Cup, also renamed their Sao Paolo stadium after him following the death of their former player from a heart attack on Nov. 25.

Maradona is widely considered one of the best footballers of all-time and won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986. — SPA
