Top Saudi, Indian military officials discuss defense cooperation

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili received Indian Army Chief Gen. M.M. Naravane at his office here on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially means to support and enhance military cooperation. They also reviewed issues of mutual concern.

Gen. Fahd Bin Abdullah Al-Mutir, commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, also met with Gen. Naravane at Royal Saudi Land Forces headquarters.

They discussed issues of bilateral defense cooperation. The Indian army chief inspected a guard of honor during the reception.

Also on Sunday, Al-Ruwaili received Lt. Gen. Qadhar Mohammed Saeed, director of Iraq’s General Directorate of Intelligence and Security. They discussed issues of common interest in addition to means of enhancing bilateral cooperation.
